Irish Rugby caught up with women’s Captain Niamh Briggs at yesterday’s squad announcement in UCD for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017.

Briggs is one of five members of the all conquering 2017 UL Bohemians treble winning side choses of the competition with forwards Anna Caplice and Ciara Griffin as well as backs Niamh Briggs, Eimear Considine and Nicole Cronin also selected.

You cam see the full squad selection here.

Ireland’s first game is against Australia on Wednesday, August 9th at the UCD Bowl at 7pm with other pool games against Japan (Aug 13th) and France (Aug 17th). All Ireland’s pool games are a sellout as the home crowd looks to get behind Tom Tierney’s side.
