Increased attendance confirmed for Limerick’s Munster football semi-final with Cork

Limerick entertain Cork in the Munster Senior Football Championship semi-final this Saturday in the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

It has been confirmed by Munster GAA that 3,500 patrons will be permitted to attend the Ennis Road ground this Saturday afternoon.

Tickets will be distributed by the County Boards with any returned tickets to go on public sale on Friday morning.

Just 200 saw Limerick defeat Waterford in the Munster quarter-final which was the first Limerick intercounty game to have spectators since June of 2020.

Last week there were 2,400 in attendance in Semple Stadium as Limerick defeated Cork in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship semi-final.

Limerick face Cork this Saturday at 3pm in the LIT Gaelic Grounds looking for a place in the provincial final for the first time since 2010.

The winners of the tie will meet either Kerry or Tipperary who meet later in the evening.
