Limerick Minor Camogie team book their place in Munster ‘A’ Final

The Limerick Minor camogie team were 2-7 to 1-7 winners over Clare in the Munster Minor ‘A’ semi-final in Fedamore on Tuesday evening.

Limerick opened the scoring with a free before the Banner replied with one from play.

From here, Limerick dominated the remainder of the half and had the next five scores of the game.

Amy Burke gave the Shannonsiders the lead before Laura Frawley doubled the advantage. A brace from Lainey Stokes furthered the lead with Éla Madigan making it 0-6 to 0-1.

Clare had the final score of the half with Limerick holding a four-point lead at the interval.

Limerick hit the ground running in the second half as Burke hit the net after a brilliant run from Ella Hession.

Clare hit back with two frees before Maggie English had Limerick’s second with a well taken goal.

The Banner responded with a goal of their own and another point reduced the gap to four points.

Laura Frawley responded with a point for Limerick prior to the final waterbreak.

Limerick didn’t score after the break but restricted Clare to two scores to hold on for a valuable three-point win.

Limerick will now play Cork in the Munster Minor ‘A’ final after the Rebels beat Waterford 5-18 to 1-6 in their semi-final.
