Limerick are set to play Antrim in the 3rd round of the All-Ireland Junior Ladies football Championship on July 24th in Tang, Co. Westmeath at 2:00pm
Donal Ryan has made one change to the side which defeated Derry last weekend, with Leah Coughlan in place of Shauna Ryan in midfield along with some other positional switches.
The Limerick Ladies football side are fresh off a clutch 2-7 to 0-12 win against Derry last weekend. The two sides were battling for momentum throughout both halves, Derry let at the internal and were also the first to score in the opening minutes of the second half.
A Derry sin-bin gave Limerick enough momentum to close the gap between the two sides, Derry were just one point ahead with 5 minutes to play. Limerick were given a crucial penalty which saw them regain the lead for the first time since the first half.
The games final minutes saw both sides struggle for the lead but it was Nicole Bennett’s display which saw Limerick lead at full time.
Limerick ladies will now seek to continue to that momentum into their clash with Antrim, who are also fresh off their win against Carlow last weekend.
