Undefeated Limerick boxer Paddy Donovan is all set for his fight against Jose Luis Castillo from Argentina at Féile Fight Night in Belfast.
The ‘Real Deal’ Donovan is 6-0 in his pro career with 4 KOs and returns to the venue where he was compared him to Muhamad Ali, determined to prove he can look good inside the ring as well as outside of it.
Michael Conlan heads up the card on Friday night with Donovan fighting in the welterweight category. It will be live streamed on ESPN+
Speaking ahead of the fight, the 22-year-old made a promise.
“Really excited to be fighting at a sold out falls park in front of our Irish fans. I promise to put on a hell of performance for you all.”
The Limerick prospect has impressed plenty in the know in the boxing scene with his dominant performances and he has no plans on stopping there. Donovan has said that he’s looking forward to putting on a show for such a big crowd and he’s favoured to do so.
The opponent from Argentina is (9-5-1), 29 years of age and has only won once in his last five fights. He’s a tough fighter who won’t go down without a fight and will be out to cause an upset on Donovan’s home turf.
The Andy Lee trained fighter is is looking forward to being on the end of the Irish support during the bout.

The future looks to be a bright one for Donovan and he’s not going under the radar either.
Boxing great Tyson Fury has got behind the young fighter, wishing him all the best for his fight on Friday night.
The fight is the sixth on the card of the special event and is expected to get underway after 20:30.
Donovan’s fight against Castillo will be a six round fight on ESPN+.
