ODDS: John Kiely’s Limerick tipped to do the business over Cork to secure two Liam MacCarthy’s in a row

While there’s no doubt that Sunday’s All-Ireland Hurling Championship final will be a tough affair, Limerick will go into the game as worthy favourites with the bookmakers expecting them to have enough in the locker.

At the time of writing, the current champions are best priced to win the game in normal time at 1/3 with BoyleSports, generally it’s 2/7 elsewhere.

The draw after 70 minutes is around 12/1, while Cork are a 10/3 shot.

In the last iteration of this game, Cork were beaten on a scoreline of 2-22 to 1-17 in the Munster semi-final.

It must be said though, Limerick weren’t at their best for that game, benefitting from two goals in quick succession on the stroke of half-time when the scores were deadlocked at 1-7 to 0-10.

Another well priced option for the Limerick faithful may be the double result option of leading at half-time and full-time, priced at 4/6.

The handicap too, currently sat at -5 for Limerick at a price of evens.

Whatever happens on Sunday, Limerick have been fancied all of the way, starting the year off as 11/8 favourites.
