RESULTS: SHC, PIHC, IHC & JAHC kick off across the county

The 2021 Limerick Club Hurling Championships kicked off over the weekend with a full set of fixtures across the top four grades.

In the Bons Secours Limerick Senior Hurling Championhip, Na Piarsaigh and Doon had opening day wins in Section A while Adare and South Liberties picked up victories in Section B.

Mungret St Pauls were the big winners in the PIHC with 16 points to spare over Murroe Boher while Newcastle West got a first ever win in their maiden game at the grade.

Adam English grabbed 0-16 for Doon in their one point win over Patrickswell in the opening round of the Limerick SHC

There were a pair of draws in the IHC while Effin had a comprehensive win over last year’s finalists Na Piarsaigh.

And in the Junior A Championship there were twelve games played from Thursday to Sunday.
