The Tipperary native will take over from Pat Ryan who was in charge of both senior and junior squads in 2021.
John Lillis has been confirmed as the new Limerick Senior Camogie manager for the upcoming season, taking over from the departing Pat Ryan.
Lillis was a part of Ryan’s set up in 2021 and has retained a number of that management set up. Coaches Thomas Moloney and Paul Hogan remain, as do S&C Coach Colm Skehan and physio Liam Mulcahy and Michael Byrnes.
The new manager has past experience of managing, taking over his native Tipperary from 2011-2012.
Limerick will be looking to build on a positive 2021 where they reached the Munster Championship final a year after failing to win a game in the championship.
The Junior side also made it to the All-Ireland semi-final with a number of that side set to make the step up to Lillis’ senior squad.
The new manager will have the chance to watch a number of the current players in action in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday week with the Senior and Intermediate finals down for decision on the Ennis Rd.
