RESULTS | Losses for Limerick’s Castletroy and Glenstal in the Munster Schools Senior Cup

The Munster Schools Senior Cup will now enter it’s final round of games ahead of the Christmas break.

Group A

In group A, there was a nail biting finish to Rockwell’s group A clash against the Munster CSP side where the home side pipped their visitors by two points, with Rockwell earning their first win of the tournament so far.

Limerick school St Munchins top the group ahead of Cresent Comp and CBC, who both have a game in hand. Rockwell’s win was their first of the season against the Munster amalgamation who are yet to win a game.


Group B

Group B was dominated by the Cork schools this week, as both Bandon Grammar and Presentation Brothers Cork (PBC) earned wins against Limerick’s Glenstal Abbey and Castletroy College.

Bandon defeated visitors Glenstal by seven points in a one try game, earning them a top spot on the group B table. PBC fended off a promising Castletroy by six points in Cork.

PBC now sit three points off leaders Bandon while Castletroy are four points off the top through four games. Glenstal remain winless.
