Time, Date and Venue for Limerick Ladies Football Junior Finals confirmed

Both of the Limerick Ladies Junior Football Finals will be played this weekend.

The Limerick Ladies Football, Junior A Football final will take centre stage this Sunday as Adare face Athea in the final.

Askeaton will host the clash that has a 3pm throw in.

Adare won three of their four group games, drawing with Galtee Gaels before disposing of Groody Gaels comfortably in the semi-finals. Athea meanwhile lost out to both Adare and Galtee Gaels in the group stage but exacted revenge in the semi-finals, beating the latter by two points to set up this weekend’s final.

Adare were 3-10 to 1-8 winners when these sides met in the first round in early September. And they will be keen for a Junior double after their Camogie side claimed county honours on Saturday.

On Sunday, the Junior final throws in as St Ailbes take on Drom Broadford at 11am in Croom.

Drom Broadford topped their group with four successive wins and reached the final with a sixteen point win over Monagea in the last four.

Ailbes lost just one of their group games, that at the hands of Drom, beating Croom 1-11 to 2-5 in their semi-final.

Drom were comprehensive winners in that round four game, winning out 6-7 to 0-4. The West side will be seeking a unique double after their Intermediate side retained their championship crown last week.
