Munster SA Update | 34 Players and Staff depart Cape Town after a fourth round of PCR tests were carried out

Positive news coming out of Cape Town as 34 of Munster’s players and staff left the South African city last night, 14 individuals remain to complete their isolation after they received positive results.

The first piece of good news has come out of the Munster camp based in South Africa as 34 players and staff departed Cape Town last night after their fourth round of PCR testing.

Team management has worked tirelessly on arranging scheduled flights at very short notice and the group are expected to land in Dublin on tomorrow evening.

The most recent round of PCR testing identified four further positive cases within the camp, brining the total number of individuals who will be forced to see out their respective isolation periods to 14.

The group will be well looked after with team liaisons Warren Morris and Kubaan Lorens remaining on site with medical support provided daily.

As outlined by the Irish government earlier this week, upon arrival from South Africa the returning players and staff will have to follow mandatory self-isolation at their own locations.
