Treaty Talk EP170 | Footballers kick off league campaign as Hurlers Clinch Munster Hurling cup

Jack Neville and Matt O’Callaghan reflect on Limerick’s Munster Hurling Cup victory and preview the footballers League opener.

With the National Football League kicking off this weekend, Jack and Matt look ahead to the Limerick Footballers’ opener with Longford this Saturday at the TUS Gaelic Grounds. They preview the game in depth with a number of interesting subplots emerging from the contest.

The duo also discuss Limerick Hurling’s most recent victory in the Munster Hurling Final against Clare. Limerick laid down a marker as they collected their first piece of silverware as the two hosts talk what the silverware means for the rest of the season.

Limerick will face off against Wexford in the first round of the National Hurling League on Sunday week.

The pair also chat about the recent announcement from the GAA regarding the abolishing of water breaks. Water break controversy and Limerick are synonymous due to the accusation of Limerick receiving an extra advantage from the breaks.
