Arscoil Rís couldn’t find last weeks scoring ability in a close loss against Rockwell College in the Munster Schools Senior Cup Quarter Final.
Ardscoil Rís were beaten by Rockwell College 10-3 in an absorbing Munster School’s Senior Cup quarter-final replay today.
Last weeks 24-24 draw left supporters excited for more as the sides met for the coveted last four spot.
Ten minutes into the game the Limerick natives took the lead thanks to the precision of kicker Harry Long. The score remained like this until after half-time in a physical game of rugby.
With ten minutes left in the game a try from Rockwell saw the Tipp side take the lead and the semi-final place was at arms reach. A penalty put the treaty side seven out from the leaders.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Ardscoil Rís as Rockwell held on for the win and a place in the last four.
Limerick hopes now rest with Crescent College Comprehensive who booked their place in the semi-finals last week.
