TEAM | All-Ireland winners return from the start as Graham Shine reveals side for London clash

Limerick take on London in the first round of the 2022 Ladies National Football League.

Graham Shine has named his first team for the 2022 campaign as his side gear up for a clash with London this Sunday afternoon.

The game, which was originally penciled in for Staker Wallace, will be played in Claughaun at 12pm.

Roisin Ambrose captains the side from midfield with a host of the 2018 All-Ireland winning XV back among the squad.

Just seven of the side that started last year’s Junior All-Ireland semi-final retain their places. Returning to the fold are All-Ireland winners Sarah O’Sullivan, Loretta Hanley, Cathy Mee, Mairead Kavanagh and Catriona Davis.

Rebecca Delee, who starred for the camogie side last week, is named among the replacements.

London will come into the game a pretty much an unknown quantity having missed out on last year’s league due to covid.

Up next for Limerick after this game are clashes with Offaly and Carlow.
