The draw for the 2022 Limerick Hurling Championships were made last night.
The Limerick Hurling Championships will kick off with a bang as 2021 final pairing Kilmallock and Patrickswell will meet in the first round of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship. Kilmallock proved successful in their October meeting with the sides set to reacquaint themselves on the last weekend of July.
The championships will revert to their original format for the first time since 2019, with the top six meeting each other once where the top two advance straight to the semi-finals while 3rd and 4th meet 1st and 2nd from Group 2 in the quarter-finals.
Elsewhere, Na Piarsaigh and Doon face off in a repeat of the 2018 final while Adare and Ahane meet for the first time since their relegation play-off in 2020.
In Group 2 of the championship, Premier Intermediate Champions Mungret St Pauls meet Kildimo Pallaskenry in a repeat of the 2020 PIHC final.
