PREVIEW | Quarter-final stages for Senior and Intermediate Ladies Football Championship

Both quarter-final games will take place on Sunday for each competition.

The 3Dental Ladies Senior and Intermediate Football Championships have reached the quarter-finals which are set to be played this weekend.

Monagea and St. Ailbes have qualified for the SFC semi-finals already and they’ll discover their opponents by Sunday evening with six teams remaining in the hunt for the title.

Similarly, Murroe Boher and Mungret St Pauls await in the IFC semi-finals.

The fixtures are listed below:

3Dental Senior Football Championship Quarter-Finals

Dromcollogher-Broadford v Feohanagh-Castlemahon

(Sunday 5pm in Feenagh)

Drom Broadford managed a second placed finish in group one after bouncing back from an opening round loss to Monagea. They face a Feohanagh-Castlemahon side who were victorious in their play-off against St. Brigids during the week after they finished third in their group.

Last year Drom Broadford were crowned Intermediate champions for the second consecutive year but face a tough task against a seasoned Feohanagh Castlemahon side.

Ballylanders v Old Mill

(Sunday 5:30pm in Croom)

Old Mill finished third in group one behind Monagea and Dromcollogher Broadford with a win against St. Brigids in the first round their only victory so far. Meanwhile, Ballylanders were second best in group two, as their one-point defeat to St Ailbes condemned them to the quarters.

Last year, Ballylanders reached the final after beating the Old Mill in a titanic affair and Sunday’s clash promises to be no different.

3Dental Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Finals

Oola v Adare (Sunday 5:30pm in Mungret)

Fr. Casey’s v Knockainey (Sunday 5:30pm in Banogue)

Last year’s finalists Oola will be hoping to make it back to the same stage this time around but face an every improving side in Adare who were last year crowned Junior Champions.

Fr Caseys and Knockainey were both defeated in each of their games but will be aiming to bounce back this weekend with a place in the last four on offer.
