Squad Update | Simon Zebo to miss Connacht clash but Gavin Coombes and Jean Kleyn return to training

The Munster squad began their training week on Monday ahead of Friday night’s BKT URC Round Interpro derby against Connacht in Galway .

In a hugely positive news for the province, Gavin Coombes returns to full training this week following a groin injury.

Jean Kleyn also makes his return following the return to play protocols after a concussion sustained against Dragons.

Simon Zebo (calf) is ruled out for Friday’s fixture.

Liam Coombes (hamstring) will also miss the game while Alex Kendellen completed his latest return to play protocols for a concussion sustained against Cardiff but will be given more time to recover after meeting with a independent concussion consultant.

Nine Munster players are in Bloemfontein with Emerging Ireland: Thomas Ahern, Diarmuid Barron, Jack Crowley, Shane Daly, Antoine Frisch, John Hodnett, Calvin Nash, Roman Salanoa and Josh Wycherley

There were seven Munster players in AIL action for their clubs over the weekend.
