“We’ll put up a good game anyway” | Mungret St. Paul’s James Garvey confident ahead of Junior A Football Final

Mungret were 1-5 to 0-5 winners over Camogue Rovers in their Junior A Football semi-final clash.

The 2022 Junior A Football Championship will be decided this weekend when Mungret St Pauls and Granagh Ballingarry battle it out for the title in Croom on Saturday.

It’s an opportunity for either team to climb into the Premier Junior A Championship next season after what’s been a successful term for both sides thus far.

Mungret topped their group with four wins from five, with their only loss coming in their round four clash with Ballybricken Bohermore. They also edged out Camogue Rovers by a goal in their narrow semi-final win.

All attention turns to Granagh-Ballingarry now who have made it to the final in their first year at the grade but Mungret’s James Garvey is confident ahead of the clash and admits they’ve only been focused on their own game,

“We’re not too worried now, we’re kind of focused on our own game really and what we’re doing at the moment.

“That’s not to take anything away from them, they’re a great side but yeah it’s exciting and we’ll put up a good game anyway.”
