Treaty United duo Tommy Barrett and Enda Curran will find out whether they will receive the Airtricity League First Division ‘Manager and Player of the Year’ awards respectively at the PFA Ireland awards in Dublin tonight. Both the awards for the Airtricity League Premier and First Division awards will be presented to the victors tonight.
Tommy Barrett has been nominated alongside former Longford manager Gary Cronin and title winning Cork manager Colin Healy. Barrett has led Treaty United to the play-offs in consecutive seasons following the team’s entrance into the league in 2021. Barrett also oversaw a run to the semi-final of the FAI Cup where the Limerick side were beaten 2-1 by eventual winners Derry City at the Brandywell Stadium.
Barrett’s striker Enda Curran joined the club last winter following a spell at junior level with Mervue United and scored 20 goals in all competitions in a prolific season. Curran was nominated alongside Galway’s Stephen Walsh and Waterford’s Phoenix Patterson. The Galway native was also named in the ‘PFAI Team of the Season.’
