Marc Ludden Re-signs for Treaty United

Treaty United have announced experienced defender Marc Ludden will remain with the club for the 2023 season and becomes their seventh signing of an extremely busy week. Ludden will also captain the side for the new season having been vice captain for the previous two years. The departure of Jack Lynch resulted in the vacancy becoming available and Ludden was the obvious candidate once he agreed to sign.

Ludden joins a cohort of former Galway United players including Ryan Connolly, Enda Curran, Steven Christopher and Conor Barry who will line out at the Markets Field in 2023. The left-back has been instrumental in helping Treaty reach the First Division play-offs in consecutive seasons and has been a popular figure among his teammates and supporters.

He made 30 appearances for the Limerick side in 2022 and created an impressive 8 goals for his teammates while also contributing 4 goals of his own. His delivery form set-pieces is crucial and he is famous in League of Ireland circles for his “Rory Delap-esque” long throw.

The player was delighted to re-sign for a third consecutive season following his arrival from Galway United in 2021.
