Treaty United Duo Travel to Championship Club for Trial

Treaty United Academy duo Darren Nwankwo and Robbie Lynch have travelled to English Championship club Blackburn Rovers for a week long trial. Treaty United confirmed on Sunday night that both players had been granted permission to attend a week long training camp with the high-flying English side and wished them well. Nwankwo has already made a couple of substitute appearances for the senior side under Tommy Barrett last season while Lynch is the son of Ray Lynch who played for Regional United

In other news, Treaty United were drawn at home to Cobh Ramblers in the semi-final of the Munster Senior Cup after last weekend’s thrilling 3-4 victory over Ringmahon Rangers. Treaty were made to work for the victory with a winner in extra-time from record scorer Enda Curran providing the safe passage to the last four. Details for the fixture have yet to be revealed but Treaty have confirmed that it will take place in a neutral venue in mid-west region.

Preparations have continued for the February 17th League of Ireland First Division season with Treaty hosting Bray Wanderers at the Markets Field. On Saturday afternoon, Tommy Barrett’s men will take on Premier Division outfit Shelbourne. The game will take place at Tolka Park at 4pm. Furthermore, to mark the 50th anniversary of Jackman Park, Treaty will take on a Limerick District League XI at the Carey’s Road venue on Friday February 10th.
