The Celtics edged the Sport Eagles in an all-Limerick derby in round 17 of the National League to move into first outright in the Southern Conference.

In InsureMyVan.ie Division 1, the Limerick Celtics picked up two wins in as many days, including one over local rivals the Sport Eagles. In UL, they held off their hosts, 87-83 to move to the top of the Southern Conference. They followed that up with an 87-69 win against the Drogheda Wolves.

The wins move the Celtics to (14-4), level with Moy Tolka Rovers at the top of the overall standings.
