ODDS | Limerick odds on favourites to become just third side to win All-Ireland four in a row

Limerick are heavy favourites to claim the first piece of silverware this weekend at 1/4 to beat Kilkenny in the league final.

Limerick are the favourites to become just the third ever county to win a four-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles ahead of the final game prior to the championship.

The Shannonsiders take on Kilkenny in the league final on Sunday afternoon with the provincial championships kicking off on the weekend of April 22/23.

On that weekend, Limerick are in Thurles to take on Waterford with John Kiely’s men (8/11) to go all the way again in 2023 and make it four on the trot.

Next on the list is Galway (13/2) who have been beating by the Shannonsiders in two of the past three All-Ireland semi-finals. They pip Kilkenny to second spot, with the Cats priced at (7/1) after reaching last year’s decider. Munster sides dominate the remainder of the top seven with Wexford the next best in Leinster at (40/1) to claim a first title since beating Limerick in 1996.

Cork, who fell to Limerick in the 2021 final, are (9/1) to end their 18-year drought, the longest in their history. Tipperary and Clare are both priced at (12/1) while 2020 runners-up Waterford can be got at (20/1).

Rounding out the remainder of the Liam MacCarthy contenders are Dublin (66/1), Westmeath & Antrim (both 1000/1).

Limerick are heavy favourites to claim the first piece of silverware this weekend at 1/4 to beat Kilkenny in the league final. The Cats are 7/2 to end a five-year wait for the trophy.

The Leinster championship begins on April 22 with Kilkenny hosting Westmeath, Galway welcoming Wecxford to Salthill while Antrim are at home to Dublin.

The following day, Limerick face Waterford while Clare take on Tipperary in Cusack Park. Cork begin their championship the following week against Waterford.
