John Ryan names unchanged Limerick side for Munster Minor semi-final with Kerry

Ryan has stuck with the tried and trusted that saw off Tipperary last week, Limerick’s first piece of silverware at the grade since 1956.

Limerick minor manager John Ryan has named an unchanged side for Thursday’s Munster MFC semi-final with Kerry. After winning the Phase One title last week, the Shannonsiders have home advantage for the clash.

Newcastle West will host the last four tie which throws in at 6.45pm this Thursday evening.

Ryan has stuck with the tried and trusted that saw off Tipperary for a memorable victory last week, Limerick’s first piece of silverware at the grade since 1956.

Goalscorer on the night, Darragh Hogan is named at midfield and he is likely to dovetail with team captain Aidan O’Shea who featured in his first game of the year in the decider.

The Cappagh Rathkeale native is named at full forward but will drop out where he was so effective against the Premier.

On the same night that Limerick defeated Tipperary, Kerry were bested by Cork, 2-12 to 0-14. Cork meet Tipp in the other semi-final.

Limerick haven’t met Kerry in the minor championship since 2012 when the Kingdom were 3-9 to 0-5 winners in Tralee.

This year’s Minor final will take place on June 2.
