The flagship event of Limerick Football will get underway on Thursday evening with two games down for decision.
The Limerick Senior Football Championship begins this evening with a pair of games, one each in either group.
Senior
In Group 1 of the Limerick Senior Football Championship, the defending champions Newcastle West begin the defence of their crown against near neighbours Fr Caseys in Tournafulla. Last year, NCW edged their rivals by a point in the group stage before going on to retain their title for the first time in their history.
In the other group, Na Piarsaigh make their return to the top tier after claiming the Intermediate honours in 2022. They take on Ballysteen with the sides meeting in the first round as they did in 2015 where the West side were two-point winners.
Premier Junior
There are three games down for decision in the PJFC on Thursday night with two in Group One. Croom meet relegated Bruff in their first game at the grade while Mountcollins take on Monagea.
In the other group, last year’s beaten finalists Feenagh Kilmeedy face Cappamore.
