Newcastle West were the big losers of the weekend, missing out on the top four after their round two loss to Blackrock by a single point, the Rockies edging through on Head to Head.
Effin, who were the only team assured of progress heading into the final round, secured top spot with a five point win over Cappamore.
Dromin Athlacca and Bruff both did what they have to do with wins over Na Piarsaigh and Newcastle West respectively guaranteeing their semi-final berth.
Blackrock knew a win would be enough to progress but fell to Glenroe 2-15 to 0-17. However the result between Bruff and Newcastle West kept Blackrock in contention.
In the semi-finals, Effin will take on Blackrock while Dromin Athlacca will meet last year’s finalists Bruff.
