April double-header announced for TUS Gaelic Grounds

Sunday, April 28 will see the camogie game acting as a curtain raiser to the hurling game later on that afternoon.

A championship double-header will take place in TUS Gaelic Grounds this April, as Limerick’s senior hurling and camogie sides will take to the field following a partnership between Munster GAA and Munster Camogie.

Joe Quaid’s team will play Waterford in their Munster Senior Camogie Championship Quarter-Final at 2pm, before John Kiely’s men lock horns with Tipperary in a Munster Senior Hurling Championship round-robin fixture at two hours later.

“Munster Council Camogie are once again delighted that Munster GAA are providing us with Double headers for our Munster Senior Camogie Championship for 2024. This will add to the profile of our game as it is a huge boost for our Camogie Players. We at Munster Camogie appreciate this opportunity that Munster GAA have given us.”

There are three double headers scheduled to take place around the province, with Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh putting on a similar show on April 28. Cork host Clare at 12pm in the Munster Senior Camogie Championship Semi-Final, before Brian Lohan’s Banner visit the Rebels for a Munster Senior Hurling Championship round robin fixture at 2pm. 

The third and final such event is set to happen on Sunday, May 19, where the Munster Senior Camogie Championship Final takes place at 1:45pm in FBD Semple Stadium Thurles, before Tipperary host Cork at 4pm in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship.
