The visitors were arguably the better side in the first-half, as they created a number of chances, former Treaty man Success Edogun involved.

Barrett’s side tested Tim-Oliver Hiemer before the break, but to no avail, and the teams headed in level at the break.

Treaty keeper Corey Chambers was in fine form to keep Harps at bay, but his resolve was broken ten minutes from time when captain Tony McNamee stuck a right footed finish from the edge of the box to give his side the lead.

A first league defeat of the season for Treaty United, who now find themselves in fourth, after UCD beat Longford Town.

Next up for the Shannonsiders is a trip to Athlone on Monday night, as they look to get back on track.
