WATCH: Springboks Coach Allister Coetzee’s thorny response to Van Graan question

In the wake of their 27-27 draw with the Australians in Bloemfontein, Springboks coach Allister Coetzee was asked about recent speculation that his assistant Johan van Graan was the latest in a line of South Africans rumoured to be the next Munster coach.

His reaction was frosty to say the least as Coetzee was unhappy with the line of questioning.

“That’s official? Have you seen his contract? Has he signed anything?

“So how can it be official?

“Heavily linked and signed is completely different. I don’t want to talk about Johan Van Graan. What we need to talk about is the next game, and about this game that has been completed tonight.

“Johan Van Graan – he’s a contracted assistant head coach to SA Rugby and those are the facts.”

“What Munster say is hearsay”
