Aaron Gillane has been brought to hospital in the aftermath of Limerick’s Semi Final win over Galway.
Gillane was brought to hospital with what the county board described to RTE as a heavy “blow to the back” and will be kept in for observation overnight.
Gillane shipped a heavy knock in a challenge with Gearoid McInerney in the 56th minute and received treatment on the field.
The Patrickswell player was then substituted for Pat Ryan late in the dying minutes before feeling unwell later after the game had ended.
Joe Canning was also kept in for observation after he was forced from the field of play with a concussion.
