Sunday saw the Intermediate final between Adare and Croagh-Kilfinny. Adare were playing in the final in their first season back at the Intermediate grade after they claimed the Junior title in 2021.

The game was level-playing on 25 minutes with two points apiece until Noirin Lenihan hit the back of the net for Croagh-Kilfinny with the score remaining 1-2 to 0-2 at half-time.

As the weather worsened, Adare bettered and they started the second-half in scintillating form with 1-4 in the first fifteen minutes. Aislinn Connelly was the goal-scorer for the side with Caoimhe Costello pointing the other four.

It was Croagh-Kilfinny’s turn to flex their muscles as Keelin Madigan hit the back of the net again but Costelloe continue her fine form with two more points that would prove the difference for Adare as they held out for a two point win.
