Adare and Monaleen meet in mouthwatering SFC first round clash | Friday Football Fixtures

The Senior Football championship continues on Friday evening after an eventful start with one game to be played in the Premier Junior.

The Limerick Senior Football championship takes centre stage once again on Friday night with a pair of games following Thursday’s kick off. Champions Newcastle West outlasted Fr Caseys in the opener while Na Piarsaigh made a bright return to the top tier with a win over Ballysteen in group two.

The first round in Group Two will conclude on Friday night with the other two contests to be played. There is an all-South meeting between Galtee Gaels and Ballylanders in Kilfinane. It is a repeat of the final round game from 2022 when Bally ended Galtee’s knockout hopes.

In the other tie, the group favourites will go toe to toe in Bruff with the meeting of Monaleen and Adare. The west side were beaten finalists last year while Monaleen come into the game as League finalists.
