A stunning second half-display gave Young Munster their second victory of the campaign.
It was a difficult for the Limerick contingent in the Energia AIL with Young Munster the only side to record a win across the top four flights.
Young Munster turned things around in the second half to win 23-10 at UCD and make it back-to-back victories in the All-Ireland League’s top flight.
The side were 10-3 down at the interval, as well as having a couple of players sin-binned during the first half. However, they pulled it back in the second half with an inspired performance by Conor Hayes who was responsible for 13 points. Alan Kennedy was another name on the scoresheet, with a late try on his return ensuring the win for the side.
Elsewhere, Cork Constitution got the better of Shannon with 36-21 bonus point victory.
Shannon led the game 21-12 at the half , with two tries coming from Ethan Coughlan. However, the Cork outfit had two tries to their name just five minutes into the second-half and took full control of the game adding another later in the second half and steering to an impressive victory. Shannon sit bottom of the Division 1A standings after three games.
Garryowen joined Shannon on three defeats after they were added to the list of sides defeated by leaders Terenure College this season. The score ended 38-25 after a valiant effort from the side who secured two tries through Johnny Keane and Cian Hurley with Tony Butler also on the scoresheet.
In Division 2A, Old Crescent were defeated 31-19 by Blackrock College. The Limerick side were trailing 31-0 but second half tries slightly improved what may have been an embarrassing outcome.
UL Bohemians were also on the losing side as they were beaten 24-20 at home to Ballymena. It was the first point of the season for the Bohs as Darragh O’Gorman and Ihechi Oji secured their two tries.
Elsewhere, in Division 2C, it was another defeat for Bruff as they lost 15-7 at home to Skerries. An Eamonn Costelloe try converted by Paul Collins would prove insufficient for the side.
In the Women’s All Ireland League UL Bohemian were no match for Blackrock College who ran out 63-7 winners. Chloe Pearse scored a try the home side and Kate Flannery converted.
