Aisling and Geraldines Management Teams Finalised

Limerick District League Premier Division sides Aisling Annacotty and Geraldines have finalised their management teams ahead of the 2020/2021 season.

It is all change at Aisling Annacotty for the new campaign. As Sporting Limerick exclusively broke last month, former Janesboro manager Shane O’Hanlon joined the club as the new manager following the surprise departure of Michael Aherne.

It will be a new challenge for O’Hanlon following many years with Janesboro but he will be surrounded by familiar faces as Percy Ryan and Daithi O’Donoghue join him at Annacotty.

Ryan will be the assistant manager while O’Donoghue will be first team coach. Eamon Doyle and Mark Moloney will continue as goalkeeping coach and kitman respectively while John Lysaght will also be on the coaching ticket.

In contrast with Annacotty, Geraldines have decided to stick to the management team from last season and have re-appointed Derek Hannon as manager with both Bobby Tier and Christy O’Neill continuing their roles as player/coach.

On the Garryowen outfit’s official Facebook page, they stated:

“Geraldine AFC are delighted to announce that Derek Hannon,
Bobby Tier and Christy o Neill will be the clubs Premier management team for the upcoming 2020/21 Junior season.
All in the Dines wish this trio all the best for the season”

The trio led the club to a very strong fourth place finish last season even though the season was cancelled due to the ongoing Coronvirus pandemic.
