After a short turnaround, Munster kick off their Pro 14 campaign with a trip to Wales.
For Mike Haley, there is optimism in the camp with a host of younger players coming through with Haley namechecking Jack Crowley and Craig Casey.
“I’m a big fan of Jack Crowley. Just like the way he plays rugby, he’s impressive and has got a good feel for the game. Obviously Craig Casey has been phenomenal since he came back. Competitive in everything he does. It’s good to see them go well.”
Haley made his Irish debut prior to the 2019 World Cup and is hopeful of another call up.
However, his main focus for the time being is getting back to full fitness and earning his place in the starting line up with Munster.
“All you can do is focus on Munster. Ireland is over there and I can’t control that. What I can control is perform is on weekends and training day to day, making myself better. Building up that consistency and playing games each week and that will push me to the right place.”
