AP McCoy talks life post racing

AP McCoy talks life post his illustrious racing career.

As with many sports stars, retirement comes with a host of different challenges that require a different approach.

Some immerse themselves in punditry or media work, others turn to coaching and training.

Not everyone gets the fairytale ending but AP simply wanted to call time on his career and be in control of the decision.

“I wanted to go on my terms. I wanted it to be when I was still at the top…”

A frequent visitor to Limerick, McCoy worked for JP McManus from 2004 until his retirement this year.

McCoy retired in 2015, leaving a legacy of 20 consecutive champion jump jockey titles and riding more than 4,000 winners in the UK and Ireland.
