Ardscoil Rís set for home advantage with Limerick venue to host Harty Cup Final

Ardscoil Ris will have home advantage as they seek a sixth Harty Cup title.

The TUS Gaelic Grounds will host the 2022 Dr Harty Cup final between Ardscoil Rís and St Josephs Tulla on February 5 after a coin toss on Tuesday.

Throw in on the Ennis Rd is 1pm with Waterford’s Thomas Walsh to referee the contest.

Ardscoil Rís reached the final with a comprehensive 4-18 to 1-12 win over Thurles CBS on Saturday as they put he Tipperary side to the sword.

Early goals from Niall O’Farrell and David Kennedy had the City school clear early on with a brace of goals from Shane O’Brien pushing Ardscoil eighteen ahead at the interval.

St Joseph’s will be appearing in their first ever final after overcoming De La Salle 0-20 to 1-13 in the semi-final.

Ardscoil Rís have become final regulars since their maiden triumph in 2010, winning titles in ’11, ’14, ’16 and ’18.

The North Circular Road school are yet to lose a final.
