Munster have announced that defence coach JP Ferreira has committed to the province by agreeing a contract extension until June 2022.
Ferreira arrived at Munster soon after Johann van Graan took charge at the back end of 2017 and has overseen a defence that has been the best in the Champions Cup over the past two seasons.
Munster have also been boosted with the arrival of new forwards coach Graham Rowntree this week after his role with Georgia ended when the exited the World Cup in Japan.
Rowntree has gotten straight down to work on the training pitch ahead of Munster’s Pro14 clash with Cardiff Blues in the Welsh capital this Saturday.
Elsewhere, Chris Cloete has returned to full training after an ankle injury saw him miss Munster’s last two Pro14 games.
Munster’s World Cup representation will return to training next week ahead of the first interpro of the season against Ulster. Joey Carbery is set to rehab an ankle injury that was managed throughout the World Cup.
