In recognition of this rare weekend of double action, the club are offering a special double ticket price of just €15 for both games.
Local football fans are in for a treat this coming weekend as Treaty United’s senior League of Ireland Men’s and Women’s teams are at home on consecutive days.
First up, it’s Tommy Barrett’s senior men’s team who host Kerry FC at 7.45PM on Friday night in a Munster Derby. That’s followed on Saturday at 5PM when Dominic Foley will be looking for his senior women’s side to maintain their excellent start to the season when they entertain Sligo Rovers.
In recognition of this rare weekend of double action, the club are offering a special double ticket price of just €15 for both games (the equivalent of buy one, get one at quarter the price).
The Senior Men’s team have seen great attendances at their opening 4 home games of the season with almost 9,000 patrons through the gates at the Markets Field. They will be hoping to keep that great support going this Friday as they welcome near-neighbours Kerry FC in an important league game.
This is the first game in the second round of games with Treaty recording a 1-0 victory in Tralee in February. Barrett will be hoping to get his side back to winning ways after a dramatic 3-2 defeat in dreadful conditions in Wexford last weekend, with YoYo Mahdy grabbing an excellent brace for the Treaty side.
The Senior Women’s team have made an unbeaten start to the season with a home win and an away draw in the League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division and a home draw in their opening Group C games in the All Island Cup.
Sixteen-year-old Katie Lawlee and new recruit Erin Van Dolder lead the Treaty goal-scoring charts with 2 goals apiece from the opening 3 games. Both have also been nominated for the Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month for March.
They welcome a Sligo Rovers team who picked up a credible opening day draw with Shelbourne and only lost to a late goal from Galway United last time out.
