BREAKING: All weekend Allianz League fixtures have been cancelled

The GAA have confirmed that all 33 Allianz league fixtures scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.

A decision had been scheduled for Friday but the announcement was made this afternoon following the continuing weather alerts from Met Eireann.

Limerick were due to head to Galway in Division 1B the senior hurling league in a crucial promotion fixture while the footballers were going in search of their first league win against Waterford in Newcastlewest.

The GAA have confirmed the following changes:

Round 5 of the Allianz Hurling League will now take place next weekend (March 10th/11th).

The Division 1 Allianz Hurling League Quarter finals will move to the weekend of March 17th/18th, the semi-finals to the weekend of March 24th/25th and the Allianz Hurling League final to March 31st.

Round 5 of the Allianz Football League – due to be played this weekend – will move to March 10th/11th.

A full revised fixtures list will be released on Monday.
