There were seven games played in the Limerick U19 hurling championships on Tuesday evening.
The pairing for the Limerick U19 Premier Hurling Championship final is set after each of the semi-finals were played last night.
There will be a novel pairing in the premier final with Bruff taking on Monaleen. This will be a repeat of their first round clash where the city side came out on top.
Monaleen continued their winning streak with a 1-19 to 0-15 victory against Mungret St Pauls in a repeat of last year’s semi-final. Monaleen were defeated by Ballybrown in the decider in 2021 and will be looking to go one better against Bruff, who had eight points to spare against Newcastle West who have been defeated at the last four stage for the second successive year.
The final is set to take place on Tuesday August 23.
In the A championship, Ballybrown continued their bid for a fifth minor title in as many years as they beat Kilmallock 0-19 to 1-8 in their quarter-final. The City side claimed Minor A honours in 2018 before claiming a trio of Premier titles in ’19,’20 and ’21.
Garryspillane joined Ballybrown in the last four after the Bouncers overcame Naomh Eoin/Cnoc Gaels 1-18 to 2-12 last night.
In the other quarter finals, Cois Laoi Gaels take on Kildimo Pallaskenry while Murre Boher meet Knockaderry.
In the B Championship, Dromin Athlacca, Belville Gaels, Ballybricken Bohermore Fedamore and St Kierans all booked their palces in the final four.
