Last years Senior Cup champions picked up six points from a possible six over the weekend to keep up pace atop the leaderboard.
Catholic Institute moved to joint top of the EYHL Women’s after a pair of wins over the weekend over Belfast Harlequins and Old Alex.
Catholic Institute fired in six in a 6-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Harlequins. Naomi Carroll , Michelle Barrett and Roisin Begley all scoring in the first two quarters to leave Insta 3-0 ahead at half time with goals in quarters three and four by Emer Ryan, Leah Clery and Lizzy Ryan.
The Limerick side made it as many wins in 24 hours with a 2-0 victory over Old Alex to move them joint top of the EYHL Women’s on 28 points. On Sunday, they had goals from Laura Foley and Aoife Hickey.
They are level on points with UCD and Loreto who were also 2-0 winners on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday, UCD went outright top after beating Old Alex 2-1, taking advantage of Loreto’s loss to Pegasus on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Railway Union also had a six goal win against Monkstown while last year’s champions Pembroke Wanderers were held by Ards.
Loreto are top by virtue of their nine wins compared to eight for Catholic Institute and UCD with Pegasus five-points back and with a game extra-played.
