Limerick superstar Cian Lynch has been voted the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week following their All-Ireland final victory over Kilkenny on Sunday afternoon.
He just edges out teammates Peter Casey and Diarmaid Byrnes in the voting with just 400 votes separating the trio.
The Patrickswell clubman, who captained Limerick on Sunday received 4,369 votes on the GAA’s Official Instagram page which put him ahead of colleagues Casey (3,926) and Byrnes (3,915).

When Limerick were encountering problems in the opening period captain Cian Lynch remained defiant. Lynch clipped two points from play during the game and crafted several more for John Kiely’s talented team.

Afterwards, the Patrickswell native praised his teammates in a stirring acceptance speech as he became the first man from the club to lift the Liam MacCarthy.
