Ireland’s women’s 4×100 relay team finished in 4th place in the European under 20 final in Grosseto on Sunday evening.
Ciara Neville, Molly Scott, Newport native Sharlene Mawdsley and Gina Akpe-Moses finished in 44.47, just behind Great Britain who recorded a time of 44.17. While Germany took gold in 43.44.

Earlier in the week the 17 year old Emerald AC star made it to the final of the 100m but failed to come close to her personal best as she finished up in 7th position in 11.98, while Ireland teammate Gina Akpe-Moses claimed gold.
