You will see now this week, Newspapers will be bumping it up, Social Media will be bumping it up and everyone else that knows anything about Hurling in Clare or Limerick will all bump it up.
They’ll all be talking about the match-ups like Conlon and Casey last year, they’ll be talking about the middle of the field and Tony Kelly if he’s going to bounce back and even players like Shane O’Donnell and Peter Duggan who were poor last week.
Let’s see this week how they are going to fare out because this game will take on a life of its own but, I would strongly suggest to Limerick to go about their business as if it’s a black and amber jersey a Maroon jersey or even a Tipp jersey that’s in front of them, just take the jersey out of it and go about it in the same fashion as they did last week and all last year.
It’s a massive game for Limerick, Clare will be coming up gunning for the two points on offer to the winner but Limerick will also be gunning for the same and you can be sure that Clare are going to come and try upset Limerick in any shape or form, so I just hope Limerick are ready and prepared for that.

Limerick should stick to the hurling on an occasion like what Sunday will be because at the end of the day, it’s the hurling that does most of the talking on any given day and I think if Limerick go out with that kind of attitude and that frame of mind by sticking to their own gameplan and their own system then I think we’ll be good enough to come through it.
Clare are after flipping, they are not as good as they were last year whereas looking at Limerick last week they seem to be on par with last year and just bumping things up each game.
In terms of tactics from Clares point of view, I think they’ll be straight in on top of Mike Casey, I think they might look to target our half-back line from reviewing our defeat to Cork, they might think there are weaknesses there, I think that’s a big area to watch out for on Sunday.

If Clare are going to play a sweeper like they did last week I think it’s going to suit Limerick to the ground because any team that tries that we always end up with not only a sweeper but two or three defenders also.
If Clare goes toe to toe or man for man it could make it slightly difficult for us, but even if they do, whatever option they go for tactically, I believe we have the power and the skill to outplay them on the day.
