Ciarán Carey: Waterford could be Limerick’s toughest test yet

It’s winner takes all on Saturday evening in the LIT Gaelic Grounds as Limerick welcome Waterford to see who will advance to the National Hurling League semi-final.

Limerick currently top the table, two points ahead of Waterford but a win for the Déise will see them leapfrog John Kiely’s side.

Waterford, who are under Liam Cahill for this season, have impressed thus far with wins over Cork, Galway and Westmeath.

They did suffer defeat to Tipperary last weekend but still hold semi-final hopes in their own hands.

Waterford will be desperate to get one over Limerick after suffering heavy defeats in the past two Munster campaigns, as well as in last years League final.

As such, Ciarán Carey thinks Waterford could be Limerick’s toughest task to date.
