Murray’s superb 2017 could be capped off with the individual award

Conor Murray has been nominated for the RTÉ Sports awards Sportsperson of the year award following a stelar year with Munster, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions.

The scrum half starred in the Lions series draw with the All Blacks and scored a fourth try against them at test level, becoming the first Northern Hemisphere player to ever accomplish the feat.

Murray is nominated alongside 14 other athletes across a range of sports with the winner being announced live on RTÉ 1 at 9:15pm on Saturday 16 December.
