Conway back in training but Haley and Salanoa out until the New Year

Andrew Conway and Jack Daly have both returned to team training after long-term knee injuries.

The Munster Rugby men’s team are continuing their preparation ahead of this Friday’s preseason game against Leinster in Musgrave Park (KO 6pm).

Antoine Frisch and Joey Carbery are back in team training following low-grade injuries and will be available for selection for the pre-season game against Connacht in two weeks.

Andrew Conway and Jack Daly have both returned to team training after long-term knee injuries.

Seán O’Brien is currently rehabbing a thigh injury and is expected to be fit for the opening rounds of the URC.

Liam Coombes (thigh), Jack O’Sullivan (knee) and Patrick Campbell (ankle) are all undergoing rehab and will miss the opening rounds of the URC campaign.

Paddy Patterson is progressing well with his rehab from a knee injury and is expected to return to team training in November.

Cian Hurley, who made the step up from the Academy over the summer, is continuing to rehab from last season’s achilles/ankle surgery and is not expected back until the new year.

Roman Salanoa underwent knee surgery at the end of last season and is still undergoing recovery. He is not expected back until the new year.

Mike Haley has undergone surgery for a hip complaint and is not expected back until the new year.
