Costello starts as Limerick name side for decisive Camogie League meeting with Down

It is a must-win game for Limerick who are at the bottom of the table as the only team without points thus far in Division 1B.

John Lillis has named his Limerick camogie side to take on Down in the fourth round of the Very National Camogie League Division 1B in Leitrim this Saturday afternoon.

All-Star nominee Caoimhe Costello will make her first start of the season after being introduced from the bench in the defeat to Waterford last time out.

Costelloe is one of four personnel changes with Noirin Lenihan, Caoimhe Lyons and vice-captain Orlaith Kelleher back from the start.

Ele Madigan, Lizanna Boylan and Cliodhhan Ryan move to the bench while Ciara O’Riordan misses out.

It is a must-win game for Limerick who are at the bottom of the table as the only team without points thus far. Three defeats have been their lot so far against the current top three in the table.

A win for Limerick will see them leapfrog Down with Offaly in the final round for the Shannonsiders.

Limerick face Down in the fourth round of the Very Camogie League on Saturday, March 11 at 2.30pm in Liatroim Fontenoys.
