The spell of wet and cold weather which has caused havoc on the point-to-point scene, has created further disruption with the news that Lemonfield (Crecora) is the latest meeting to fall foul of the elements.
That fixture which is run by the Limerick Harriers, and features the first four-year-old maiden for mares’ of the season, was due to be staged on Sunday 4th March.
Following the recent bad weather, the course is not in a raceable condition and they have been forced to abandon its plans.
That vacant date has provided an opportunity for another Limerick hunt.
The Stonehall Harriers, who lost their meeting at Moig South on Sunday last, which was due to be the first meeting held at the new course, will now be rescheduled for the 4th March to fill the empty date in the region.
Fresh entries for this rearranged fixture will now close on Tuesday 27th February.
